Powder Room Before & After with my Favorite Farmhouse Powder Room Finds

Do you love a good before and after?  They are my favorite types of decor posts.  There is just something about being able to see where a room started before being decorated that makes the transformation even more magical.  We have a small powder room off of our kitchen.  It’s the bathroom that guests most use when we are entertaining.

Bathroom Before

If you’d like to see more about what the bathroom looked like before the mini redo, you can checkout more from this post from close to 5 years ago.  Since that post, we had switched out the light fixture, but not that much more had been done in the bathroom.

The first update I did for the room was adding a chair rail.  So, I am not exactly super handy when it comes to DIY projects, this wasn’t too bad.  It wouldn’t be a project that I would take on in a large room, but it wasn’t too difficult in a small bathroom.  I placed it slightly higher than the sink so I wouldn’t have to work around it.

Above the chair rail, I painted the walls a light gray.  Underneath the chair rail, I kept it the same shade of white that the whole bathroom was before the redo.  On the wall opposite the toilet, I hung a three piece print set from Target.  I chose the set because it wanted to use wood tones throughout the bathroom, with hints of green to warm up the space.

Above the toilet, my husband had previously hung a glass shelf.  I added a small ceramic container from the Target Dollar Spot, a heart wood print, one of our Lavender Eucalyptus Wine Glass Soy Candles, and an adorable Succulent Soap.

The wood mirror above the sink, bathmat and hand towel were all also from Target.  I love their Hearth & Hand with Magnolia and Opalhouse lines for the home.  Anything I buy for the home from Target typically comes from one of these two lines.   You can find all the links from the first picture, here:

  1. The cutest Succulent Soap set from Sunbasil Soap

  3. Wood Barrel Mirror from Target

Happy Shopping, my friends!
